The wobbleboard is used to train sensory motor skills and treat hypermobility and post-traumatic conditions at rehabilitation centers. This balance board is made of spruce wood (diameter 39 cm; height 11 cm; weight 1.6 kg) and is useful to practice balance while standing, squatting and sitting. This is particularly challenging in post-traumatic conditions of the ankle, knee or hip. If the floor is slippery, it is good to support the wobble board with a thin rubber mat. This balance board is also appropriate for older users, who sometimes have difficulties maintaining balance. Exercising on the wobbleboard improves both dynamic skills and the mood and stamina of the practitioner. |
